Determine if what you’re wanting would fit in with my style of art. I like allegory, surrealism, and fantastical type creatures. I understand you may want a simple portrait or landscape, but if it’s not within my current realm of work, I’m probably not the artist for you. Someone out there is though, so keep looking!
Preliminary mock-ups, and collaboration is involved in the process. Estimated timelines will be outlined in a contract and agreed upon before work starts. I want to keep everything clear and straightforward for you. I will be available to discuss your commission at any time during the process.

I understand. You might have a solid idea, and that’s great! But if you’re unsure of exactly what you want, I suggest putting together a Pinterest board of things that inspired you. Let me know of colors and/or give me a concept to work with. We can collaborate together!
Below are suggested standard sizes for oil paintings. Commissions other than oil paintings would be subject to a different process, to be determined.

1 — COMMISSION AGREEMENT
Simply fill out the form below and include your idea, size of work, and any questions you might have. After consulting with me through email and figuring out the parameters of the commission, I’ll send you a contract outlining the project with costs and an estimated timeline.
2 — DEPOSIT
Once the contract is agreed and signed, a non-refundable 25% deposit of total cost is required before work begins.
3 — DESIGN APPROVAL
I will send you a rough sketch of the piece and a preliminary color scheme for you to approve or change. Once composition and color scheme are agreed upon, I’ll do a final detailed drawing for you to approve.
4 — 2ND DEPOSIT
Once final approval is given, an additional non-refundable 25% deposit of the total cost will be due.
5 — CREATION
Finally, painting begins! Depending on the size, my turnaround time after the painting starts will likely be between 2-4 weeks. Larger or specialty sizes might take 4-8 weeks, depending on the concept. I’ll update you periodically as the piece is being created, and you can request an update at any time.
6 — FINAL PAYMENT
Once painting is complete, the final 50% amount is due before delivery. This amount is refundable if not satisfied and no resolution can be met.
7 — DELIVERY
If you’re local or within driving distance to the DFW area, I can hand-deliver the painting. Otherwise, pieces will be shipped through USPS Priority mail and may include additional costs to the commission rate. I will work that out with you in the agreement phase. No surprise charges will occur.
